How do I schedule a ride?
Reservations are accepted up to one month in advance Monday through Friday between the hours of 5:30 AM and 5:00 PM by calling 618-443-9087, or toll free at 1-877-443-9087. Regular rides are scheduled at least 24 hours in advance – first-come, first serve. Medicaid rides must be scheduled one week in advance. Trips are subject to availability.
MRT requires a 24 hour notice to cancel trips. A no-show fee of $6.00 will be assessed for each attempted pick-up. If you must cancel your trip after business hours, please leave your name, phone number, trip detail along with your cancellation date on the MRT voice mailbox. If you call to schedule a trip after hours, leave your name and contact information on the voice mailbox, and a dispatcher will call upon their earliest convenience to discuss your reservation. Leaving a message on the voice mailbox does not guarantee your trip.
Pick-Up and Drop-Off Times
Expect a 30-minute pick-up window when waiting for the driver. To maximize operating efficiency of our vehicles, riders may be required to ride for an extended period to allow routing of other passengers. Drivers will wait five minutes for passenger to board. Please be ready for the vehicle to arrive. Drivers can not go to the door or help the rider into or out of any buildings. When the driver arrives and the scheduled rider does not board the vehicle, he or she will be considered a no-show. The no-show fee must be paid upon next scheduled trip. Three no-shows will result in a suspension of services for one month. No show fee is $6.
Riders with special needs
Personal assistants are required to accompany riders with mobility issues who need help into or out of any building. The assistant will ride at no charge. Persons in a mobility device are required to be secured while on the lift and while riding. Assistants must be scheduled as an additional rider at the time of scheduling.
